Charizma & Peanut Butter Wolf - “Methods” (2003) (Stones Throw Records)

Yo, I got methods! From the album “Big Shots,” ‘Methods’ has become one of my favorite Hip-Hop songs of all time. This song truly defines Hip-Hop. Every time I hear it I remember why I love this genre so much. Even though this album was released in 2003, you can easily tell it was recorded in the early 90’s. Due to artistic conflicts with label executives the album never came out. Not until PB Wolf released it in 2003, 10 years after Charizma’s death. After hearing Charizma’s rhymes and Peanut Butter Wolf’s production on “Methods,” there’s no telling what these two could’ve accomplished in Hip-Hop if it wasn’t for Charizma’s tragic death in 1993. But I’ll be keeping tracks like these alive forever!

Charizma Rest In PEACE.
